Malappuram: Popular Front of India’s Janashakthi Sangamam (People’s Power conference) concluded elegantly here in Malappuram in the passionate atmosphere that awoke Malappuaram district to the memories of its epic anti-colonial struggles. The people’s rally of tens of thousands concluding the weak long History exhibition “Malappuram Peruma” yesterday was a hair-raising experience to the people of Kondotty. The well disciplined volunteer march proclaiming that they are resolute to safeguard the freedom, though the royal paths through which the warriors led their battles, was breath-taking.
This week-long festival of memories concluded raising a new liberatory message from the memories of Malabar freedom struggle history. The people’s rally which began from the Moyikutty Vaidyar Memorial Hall ended in the conference ground set by the bypass road. Popular Front of India state vice president C Abdul Hameed Kondotty, Natioal Executive Council member EM Abdurahiman, State Executive Council members PP Rafeeq, C.P Muhammed Basher, K Muhammedali, All India Imam’s Council State president Esa Fadil Manba-e, National Women’s Front state president PK Ramla, Campus Front of India state president V.M Fahad, SDPI state vice president Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi ect addressed the conference. Resolutions were passed demanding the more institutions of higher education in the district, solution to the pathetic conditions of hospitals, immediate repeal of the black law UAPA and protection of Human Rights.
