Chennai: Eid Get Together by Popular Front of India

Eid Get Together programs are conducted by Popular Front of India all over the nation. The joy of Eid is shared with the people of different communities and the gathering helps to create mutual understanding among people of different communities and faith. The issues that are vital for the people are also discussed.

The State unit of Popular Front of India is also arranging such get together programs in different districts of the state. One such gathering was organized in the capital Chennai on August 26. State Vice President Mohamed Shaik Ansari welcomed the gathering. State President A.S. Ismail delivered the presidential address. National Secretary Mohamed Ali Jinnah was the Chief Guest and presented the keynote address on the topic ‘Let’s move forward’. He said that the activities of the NDA regime goes against the constitutional values and are not in the welfare of the nation. He called upon the people to be vigilant and to come forward to protect the democratic values of the nation.

Thol.Thirumavalavan, leader of Viduthalai Chirutaigal Katchi, K.K.S.M. Dehlan Baqavi, State President, Social Democratic Party of India, Haneefa, Vice President, Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, A.K.Mohamed Haneefa, Organizer of the Confederation of Muslim Movements and political parties, Mohamed Muneer, Vice president of India Tawheed Jamath, S.N.Sikander, State President, Welfare Party, Manoharan, General Secretary, Samooga Samatuva Padai, social activist Thiyagu, Senior advocate Muthukrishnan, social activist T.S.S.Mani, Moulana Mansoor Kashifi, Advocate Jainul Abideen, journalist Kumaresan and social activist Prabhakaran participated in the discussion and presented their views on the topic.

The participants stated that the people interested in the welfare of the nation should come forward and check the march of the communal forces. Mohamed Raseen, State Secretary of Popular Front of India delivered the vote of thanks.
