Mangalore: SDPI demands police commissioner to maintain law and order

Mangalore: A delegation of Social Democratic Party of India, D.K district leaders submitted a memorandum to police commissioner demanding to take steps to maintain law and order in the district as some elements are trying to create communal disturbance foreseeing next general assembly.
The delegation was led by district president Abubakkar Kulai. State committee member Abdul Jalil K, vice president Nawaz Ullal, treasurer Anwar Sadath Bajattur, secretary Ashraf Machi, district committee members P.B.K Muhammad, Iqbal and Kabir Bajal were part of the delegation.
The memorandum stated that Dakshin Kannada is a communally sensitive district and some mischief-makers are constantly trying to disturb harmony. The reviews of some recent incidents in the district raise suspicions about communal motives behind it. Police should initiate strong measures to prevent any such incidents in the future.
