Karavali Zone Sports Meet at Bengaluru

Bengaluru June,7,2015: Popular front of India, Karavali Zone conducted Sports meet at Shivajinagar, Bengaluru as a part of Jana Sanagama, Area conference which will be held on 14th June at Elgin Palace, Shivajinagar
Athlete Sulthan kaup led the torch march and inaugurated the sports meet by handing over the torch to Karavali Zone Secretary Haris Sunnatkare.

Popular front district secretary Nasiruddin, who was the chief guest on the occasion, explained the importance of the sports for a sound mind and body. Karavali zone president Hussain Athoor in his presidential address explained the importance of upcoming Jana Sangama Conference. District council member Abdul Aziz, Frazer town division president Asim and Advocate Rashif Nayarmoole were the other guests present on the occasion.

The teams from all over Bengaluru participated in this event. Several track and field events – 100 metre dash , 4×100 relay race, Kabaddi, Volley ball and the Tug of war – were organized. The fun race games like Lemon spoon race and sack race was also played.

The team from Sulthanpalya emerged victorious in volley ball by beating the team from Majestic with a very narrow margin. The Nawath team won the Tug of War beating the Majestic team very easily. The Kabaddi final was between MMYC and Sulthanpalya. Both teams were playing it cautiously to begin with, neither wanting to let the other take the upper hand. Later, MMYC team played very enthusiastically keeping the sports spirit intact and won the match.

The farewell program was held in the evening to conclude the sports day. Ummar Farooq, the chief advisor of MMYC, the SI of police and Razzak Neeraje joined the guests who were present in the Inauguration programme. Hussain appreciated each and every participant for showing the true sportsman spirit. He reminded everyone of the Jana Sangama, area conference which will be held in the consequent Sunday. The awards which were displayed throughout the sports day are to be distributed during the Jana Sanagama along with the Exhibition, Seminar, Documentary show, felicitation and Drama.
