Karnataka: Thousands of students benefitted by School Chalo campaign

School ChaloThe main reason behind the backwardness of the Muslim community in the country is its backwardness in the field of education. Realizing this fact our organization has been conducting school chalo campaigns from last several years. Popular Front of India has successfully completed its school chalo campaign in the academic year of 2012. The organization conducted surveys in various places of the state and distributed school materials, uniforms, scholarships for poor and needy students.
In Karnataka, especially in Uttar Karnataka the organization conducted school chalo program and thousands of students benefitted by the campaign. Surveys were conducted by visiting total of 10,306 houses and it benefitted by 12,325 of students. Books were distributed for 8394 students while 502 of students were conferred with School fees. The organization also distributed uniforms for 89 students and adopted 31 students.

Total 106 public programs and 17 career guidance programs were held in the state. 10,000 survey forms were received. 15,000 posters and 50,000 hand bills were distributed to create awareness about education. Total 30,000 of people participated in the programs held in various places of the state.

Popular Front of India is grateful for all who joined hands with the organization to conduct the campaign.
