Popular Front activists hold march in Kannur demanding arrest of CPM leaders in Fasal murder case
Kannur: Popular Front of India demanded the CBI to bring out CPM conspiracy behind Muhammed Fasal murder. It also asked the investigating agency to enquire the hands of former state Home Minister and CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in the case.
With the arrest of three of their workers by CBI CPM’s fascist face has become exposed. The allegations about former left government that it had tried to sabotage the case several times by transferring investigating officers and misusing government apparatus has proved to be true, leaders said. Soon after Fasal, an NDF activist was murdered even the then home minister Kodiyri Balakrishnan had tried to mislead the people and the police telling that it was RSS behind the killing.
Popular Front also demanded that CPM leaders who conspired to kill NDF activist on the last day of holy month of Ramadan should also be arrested.
NDF (earlier form of Popular Front of India) leader Muhammed Fasal was murdered on October 22, 2006 a day before Idul Fithr.
Popular Front activists held marches in various parts of Kannur district demanding the arrest of CPM leaders involved in the case.
