Thursday, December 8th, 2011
Thiruvananthapuram: Popular Front of India Kerala state committee organised state wide public programmes on December 6, the Babri Day sending a clear message that the demolition of the masjid by the fascist forces will not be put in oblivion. Thousands of Popular Front activists and sympathisers gathered in various parts of the state to commemorate the painful destruction of the Babri Masjid in which Muslims had worshipped Almighty Allah for centuries. Almost all district headquarters witnessed the various programmes by Popular front on the day. In capital city, Thiruvananthapuram, it organised a dharna in front of state secretariat and it was inaugurated by state general secretary P Abdul Hameed. It has become a clear warning for those who are trying to make the Muslims forget the tragic incident of December 6 in the name of secularism. In other districts there were sit-ins outside the collectorate. Those who gathered for the programmes raised slogans against the apathy of ruling class regarding the issue of Babri Masjid. They demanded the authorities to take punitive actions against those who pulled down the domes of the masjid and those who conspired for the same, as per the report of justice Liberhan. Rebuilding of Babri Masjid is the responsibility of central government because soon after the demolition Congress led central government had promised to do that. And it is the call of justice and morality to give the Muslims back what they were robbed of. Muslims of the country will be served justice only if the masjid is built on the same site, they said. As part of campaign Popular Front had published a poster urging the people not to forget the heinous crime perpetuated by the RSS and its affliates on that black day.
