Secretariat dharna organised by Popular Front Thiruvananthapuram district committee on Babri demolition day

Thiruvananthapuram: Popular Front state general secretary P Abdul Hameed made it clear that agitations would go on till Babri Masjid which was demolished 19 years ago by fascist forces was rebiult on the same site. He was inaugurating a dharna organised by Popular Front of India district committee in front of state secretariat today.
The only just solution for the heinous crime perpetuated by Sanghparivar forces challenging the law of the land is rebuilding it on the same place where Masjid had existed, he added. Popular Front will not rest until and unless this aim is met.
Babri Masjid issue is not only the issue of Muslims but also of the whole nation. It’s the issue of Indian democracy and secularism. All the culprits behind this national crime should be brought before the law.
He also demanded the central government to take actions as per the Liberhan commission.
Babri Masjid where Muslims worshipped their Almighty Allah for long 422 years was brought to the ground with the tacit support of ruling class. The installation of idol inside the Masjid was done with the connivance of K K Nair, a Malayalee. And the verdict of Allahabad High Court to divide the Masjid land among three groups is the example of another injustice.
Though our leaders are urging the community to forget about the Babri Masjid, we can’t just do it, he added.
Arshad Muhammed Nadvi delivered key note address. Social activist Thadikkad Kareem, Popular Front district president Karamana Saleem, secretaries Sharafuddeen Moulavi, Nedumangad Sulfi, Paravasi Forum state general secretary A aibrahim Kutty also spoke. Hundreds of Popular Front activists attended the sit in.
