Cherpulassery (Palakkad, Kerala): P Abdul Hameed, state general secretary of Popular Front of India urged the authorities and political parties to stop human rights violations through draconian laws. He was inaugurating central zone art rally- neethi bothana kala jatha- here which was organised as part of campaign programme for Social Justice Conference to be held by Popular Front of India in New Delhi on 26, 27 of this month.
He declared solidarity to the continuing fast by Irom Sharmila demanding the repeal of AFSPA. He also said that CPM who has brought out UAPA in the state was going to become its victims sooner than later.
UPA government should sop pampering RSS who has organised bomb blasts in various parts of country. It should take steps to ensure the early release of Muslim youths have been falsely implicated in blast cases. He also demanded the authorities to facilitate rebuilding of Babri Masjid which was demolished by Sanghparivar forces 18 years ago.
Popular Front will be in the fore front of the fight for the poor and oppressed of the country, he added.
State secretary T K Abdussamad, state committee members C P Muhammed Basheer, K K Husain, M Abdussamad also spoke.
