Gulbarga (Karnataka): Popular Front of India, Gulbarga district unit, organized Independence Day Celebration program in collaboration with Social Democratic Party of India on the occasion of 64th Independence Day.

Popular Front of India district president M.Shahid Naseer hoisted the national flag.

The program started by a welcome speech of Hafiz Arif Muhammad, who highlighted the sacrifices given by Muslims, especially the ulama community during Freedom struggle.

M.Shahid Naseer, in his presidential speech, highlighted the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and insisted India is a country with best constitutional values but some factional forces are trying to divide India and take India into pre-independence period.

He also said that popular Front of India had planned to celebrate the Independence Day with big pomp in the district with conducting freedom parade. But the fascist BJP government didn’t want a minority organization to take over the Independence Day celebration. So it indirectly put its pressure on district administration and stopped Popular Front from holding parade.

He said on this 64th year of independence it looks like we are still slave of some factional forces.

Popular Front district general secretary Shaik Siraj Pasha delivered vote of thanks and reiterated that Popular Front of India will never be subjugated and stopped from working for downtrodden people, by the factional forces and their dirty politics.
