Thursday, August 25th, 2011
Kozhikkode: Popular Front of India Kerala state committee said that through its opposition to CBI probe into Marad killing of 2003 which claimed nine lives, true face of Sanghparivar has been revealed. Now the leaked court documents availed by a Malayalam news channel tell us that the Sanghparivar including RSS and BJP conspired to sabotage CBI investigation into the case. It should be noted that it was an RSS person who went to Kerala High Court against the central agency probe in the case, Popular Front alleged.
Former BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai chose not to appear in the court to present his case for CBI probe in his capacity as senior standing consul for the then NDA government at centre.
Popular Front had right from the beginning demanded for CBI probe into the incident which followed another massacre in which five people were killed. It was alleged that RSS and other Sanghparivar organizations were behind that incident. It was a part of conspiracy from their part to expel Muslims from the area through riots and to loot their belongings as happened after the second violence there.
The statement also noted that all parties including RSS and BJP were trying to accuse the NDF erstwhile form of Popular Front in the Marad killings. Now with new documents coming out it has become clear that Sanghparivar was afraid of whole the truths coming out regarding the case.
Nine people were killed in Marad in a communally sensitive coastal village of Marad in Kozhikkode district of Kerala in the violence erupted in 2003.
