New Delhi,: The Popular Front of India has denied any links with banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and said the organisation was working for downtrodden and indulging in several social works.
In a statement, the PFI said that reports that SIMI cadre were re-grouping under the banner of Popular Front were very unfortunate and baseless.
“In the past 20 years, we have been servicing by several social works. At present we are functioning in 10 states…. We don’t have any connection with SIMI,” it said.
