Popular Front strongly condemns the attempt of tiny section of media in Karnataka to link Popular Front of India to the arrest of the Indian national Mohammed Niaz in Paris. The story created around this arrest is completely fake and baseless. We can only conclude that such allegations and stories are just assumptions and a result of bias/misunderstanding that prevails among this tiny section of the media against Popular Front.
Popular Front of India is a neo-social movement which works only in India and we don’t have any activities or presence in any country outside India. It should be noted that none of the credible agencies in India or France have mentioned the name of Popular Front of India in this issue but one daily in Karnataka has gone miles ahead assuming that our organization has links with Al- Qaeda. We firmly believe and respect the duty of media to propagate the truth and we expect that media persons understand the seriousness and impact of leveling heinous allegation of terrorism against any organization. While publishing such serious lies about our organization none of the reporters or staffs of the news paper have tried to contact us to know our opinion on this issue, such attitude is irresponsible and we strongly condemn it.
