Kozhikkode: Don’t make prophet Muhammed (PBUH) who led the world with pure life and bright ideology a controversial figure, said E M Abdul Rahman, chairman, Popular Front of India. He was inaugurating the valedictory conference of Beloved Prophet Campaign organised by Popular Front, Kerala.
Prophet is historical figure whose life was marked for its entirety. Instead of following and propagating his ideals, some of the Muslim leaders are vying each other to run trade union like business with the remnants of that prophet, he added. He also called upon the people to be vigilant against these kinds of fraudulent means.

Instead of looking to the life of the prophet in its entirety, some sections from the community have shown a tendency to be selective over his teachings, taking feasible ones and discarding the rest. E M Abdul Rahman also alleged that this kind of selectiveness might be seen as part of conspiracy to divide the community and keep them away from the right path of belief.
Abdul Rahman Baqavi of Imams Council delivered key-note address.
Popular Front state general secretary P Abdul Hameed chaired the function.
Also awards for the winners of essay competition and quiz programmes conducted as part of Beloved Prophet Campaign were given away at the function.
A CD comprised of campaign speeches was released by Abul Khair Moulavi and presented to Rasool Gafoor, MD of Hurlin Parda.
A A Wahab, K H Nasar and Abdul Raheem also spoke.
