Jaipur: The Rajasthan state unit of Popular Front has organized Ramadan Get together in major cities of the state like Jaipur and Kota on 21st and 22nd of July 2014. These programs are aimed to develop more interaction between the community leaders/organization and Popular Front. These get-togethers have also helped the organization to presents its activities and reports before the leaders of the community and get their valuable suggestions.
The programmes started with welcome speech by State General Secretary, Khalid Manzoor. It was followed with an introduction by Rajasthan State President Mr. Anees Ansari. He presented the report of the activities of the organization in the state as well as at the national level. He thanked the people of Rajasthan for their continuous support and trust. The get-together was attended by Popular Front of India NEC members Mr. Anis Ahmed. In his keynote address he said “ the Muslim community needs a planned approach to face new challenges. At this crucial juncture we should avoid pessimism regarding the new situation which arose after the elections. It is time Muslim come forward to the mainstream and start taking up the causes of other marginalized sections of the Indian society”. He presented the stand of the organization to be confident in facing new issues, developing more platforms within the community and forming more board based alliances with secular forces for the protection of unity, secularism and democracy.
The session was followed by an interactive session in which the community leaders gave their valuable feedback and suggestions to the organizations. The guests appreciated the stand and activities of the organizations and reiterated their support to the organization. The state unit has decided to continue these get-togethers and organize such programmes at other districts of the states.
