Sarva Shiksha Gram inaugurated in Katihar, Bihar

Popular Front of India Bihar state president Mahaboob Alam Nadavi inaugurated Two Sarva Shiksha Gram (Barigidamari and Belbari Ganj) in Katihar district, Bihar.
Popular Front chalks out long term and short term plans for the total empowerment of the weaker sections. The development of community relies not only on the government schemes but also on the intervention of NGOs and also people’s movement. Various programmes like School chalo, higher education scholarship, and Sarva shiksha gram were designed and implemented during last many years.
Sarva shiksha gram is to ensure 100% primary education in educationally backward village where literacy rate is low, school enrollment is low and dropout rate is high. Educationally backward villages like Barigidamari and Belbari Ganj were identified during year long school chalo national campaign. Both the villages Barigidamari and Belbari Ganj comes under district Katihar, block Barari, and panchayat Sukhashan.
Out of 236 families in Belbari Ganj children between age group of 5 to 16 years are 658, in that 108 are drop outs. All this drop outs mostly are Muslims and Dalits . Even after 6 decades people and students suffer because there is no electricity in this village. Barigidamari has a population of 175 families and the children between age group of 5 to 16 are 465 in that 75 are droup outs. All this droup outs are only Muslims.
The villagers were very happy because now they got an opportunity for remedial tuition centre. All other guests expressed their concern about all the important of education. In his speech he explained the community development projects and requests the village people to come forward and utilize Sarva Shiksha Gram project. Panchayath Mukkiya Mohammed Iliyas appreciated Popular Front of India for identifying Belbariganj and Barigidamari. He said he will work hard for the welfare of people and he assured very soon to bring electricity.
