National General Assembly of Popular Front begins

Puthanathani, Kerala: The National General Assembly (NGA) of Popular Front of India was inaugurated today (22nd of January 2016) at the Malabar House in Puthanthani, Malappuram Dist. Kerala. The NGA will be a 3 days programme which will be concluding on 24th January.
The NGA began with the flag hoisting by the Chairman of the organization K.M. Shareef. The inaugural session started with the presidential address by the Chairman. KM Shareef called upon the delegates to strengthen bonds with the weaker sections of the society like Dalits, tribals and religious minorities especially at times when intolerance and violence against them are on the increase.
Highlighting the growth of the organization he said “Our organization is witnessing an encouraging growth every year. In 2015 we have launched our organization in Bihar and Jharkhand. We have also witnessed a motivating public support in our various campaigns such as Area conferences, school chalo and health campaigns”. He urged the delegates to continue our efforts towards the noble cause of empowering the marginalized sections of the Indian society.
The NGA will discuss and review the activities of the organization in various sessions. Delegates from various states are participating in the NGA.
