Kozhikode: As a part of its nation-wide campaign for promotion of education, PFI Kerala State Committee distributed scholarships for deserving students in special programmes held in four parts of the state. K. Sadath, state secretary, PFI, distributed the scholarships in Malappuram-Puthanathani, while P. Abdul Hameed, vice president, in Karunagappalli, Karamana Ashraf Moulavi, state president, in Thalassery, B. Noushad, state secretary, in Ernakulam respectively. This scholarship was endowed for economically backward students but who are bright in learning. This year rupees 26,36,000 were distributed as scholarships for 290 students. The Scholarships endowed for the children of Imams, and Madrasa teachers were also distributed in the same functions.
