Activists condemned the ill treatment of National leaders at Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: Protest demonstration and road blockades held across the state at various places including the district headquarter Kurnool, Guntur, Nellore, Adoni,Nandyal, and Yemmingnur, opposing unnecessary enquiry of NEC and SEC leaders of Popular Front of India in Hotel DM residency at Nampally on Wednesday May 1,2013.

Memorandum was submitted to the home minister to suspend the biased police officers, urges the govt to provide adequate training for the police official on how to interact with public and their leaders and also demanded to bring out the truth behind the conspiracy of detaining the leaders of a mass movement.

On thursday, Enraged over the mistreatment of its National leaders, Popular Front cadres rushed to the collectors office at Kurnool and blocked the road nearby. District President Syed Jamaluddin pacified the crowd and conducted a peaceful protest demonstration before the collector’s office. The demonstration was attended by various secular leaders and activists including Mr Srinivasa Rao POP, Mr Jayanna, Advocate Padmaja, Mr Vijayakumar and Abdul Waris SDPI. Leaders unanimously condemned the ill treatment of the national leaders of a social organisation.

Similar protest demonstration held at Guntur and Nellore Collector’s office. Guntur protest led by Hussain Basha SEC member and attended by district leaders.

A road blockade and protest demonstration was held near RDO office at Adoni. Mohamed Irfan General secretary of SDPI streamlined the protests demonstrations here.

In Nandyal, Abdul Lateef , Mufti Abdul Qadir both SEC members led the protest demonstrations peacefully at Gandhi chowk.

A memorandum was also submitted by Moulana Yusuf to the home minister before Yemmingnur MRO, who was accompanied by division leaders and party cadres.

Earlier, Seven NEC members of Popular Front of India including Mohamed ali Jinnah, National Secretary has been detained at Nampally Police Station on Wednesday night, while they have gathered there at hotel for a sent off and felicitation program for Abdul Subhan, who was going to Saudi arabia for Umra (pilgrimage).

A team of policemen attached to Nampally Police station led by V B Kamalasan Reddy, DCP Central Zone, misled by false inputs from intelligence official stormed Hotel DM residency at Nampally and picked up Mohamed Ali Jinnah, National secretary, Popular Front of India, Mufti Abdul Subhan, State President AP, Habeebullah,State vice president AP , Abdullah Khan SEC member, Abdul Rasheed Rashadi, State president All India Imams Council AP, Shahul hameed Baqavi National secretary All India Imams Council and Rafeeq Maulana General Secreatary AIIC AP.

In the name of enquiry they were forced to miss their trains and flights that annoyed the Leaders.They all were booked unnecessarily under the section 151 of CrPC (Preventive arrest) and let off late in the night with a namesake apology from the police.

Popular front demands immediate suspension of the erring and communally biased police officers Sridhar, Nampally Police SHO and Kamalasen Reddy DCP Central Zone.

Also demands the government to dig out the conspiracy behind the detention of the leaders of the mass movements and also train police officials to be friendly with civil society and how to behave with their leaders.
