Popular Front Launches ‘School Chalo-2013′ National Campaign

New Delhi: The inauguration of School Chalo (Go To School) -2013 national campaign conducted by Popular Front of India will be held at Red Fort on tomorrow, 25th Apr 2013 9:00 am. Popular front General Secretary, O.M.A. Salam will be presiding over the function and eminent speakers will be addressing the gathering.

A demo of hundreds of children also will be held for awareness generation highlighting the status of school education and literacy rate in our country and the importance of education for all between the age group of 6 – 14 years irrespective of their religion, cast, creed, colour, gender and financial status in light of Right to education Act.

In this campaign, during the period from April to June, Popular Front plans to distribute 100000 school kits to needy students all over India. During the first phase of the Programme, January-February 2013, Front already distributed 26,000 School kits among the poor children in West Bengal and Manipur.

Popular Front of India had chalked out long term and short term plans for the total empowerment of the weaker sections. It primarily focuses on building awareness, assisting the community in implementing own initiatives and to mobilise and channel governmental schemes and projects to the people who really need them
