Goa: Healthy Living Day observed by Popular Front

Fatorda (Goa): Popular Front of India, Goa observed a ‘Healthy Living Day’ recently with a host of Programmes. The members with the participation of General Public played Football, performed Yoga at SAG Ground, Fatorda.

Thereafter, the members proceeded to Chandravaddo to do Collection of Plastic Waste and to aware the Residents about keeping their surroundings clean. Under the banner of ‘Cleanliness Drive’, Popular Front members along with members of All Goa Muslim Womens Association collected heaps of Plastic Wastes in and around Chandravaddo. Many of the residents of Chandravad also participated in the Drive.
In the Evening, Free Health Check-up held at Iqra English School, Khareband, Margao from 3 pm to 5.30 pm. Dr. Mario de Santano Godinho, Physician and Dr. Neelam Borkar, Gynecologist spent their Valuable time to give free check-up to poor people living in slum areas of Khareband. Also free Medicine was distributed to the needy Patients as more than 100 people benefited.
Speaking at the Concluding session of the Programme, President of Popular Front, Goa Mr. Sayed Iftiyaz said that ‘Popular Front of India organizes such Health related Programmes all-over India for the benefit of Masses. He reminded the People present how PFI, Goa has worked at Grass root level in reaching-out to the needy deserving Patients, Students etc and helped them to tackle their problems’.
