Popular Front Day: Massive rallies and gatherings at Kollam and Palakkad

Popular Front volunteers across the state celebrated ‘Popular Front Day’ with massive rallies and gatherings at Kollam and Palakkad. The Day marks organization’s formation in on February 17 which is celebrated across the country every year.
Inaugurating the programme held at Kotta Maithani in Palakkad, Popular Front General Secretary Muhammedali Jinnah said that PM’s million-worth suit will not eliminate poverty in the country. Modi who came to power with new slogans is acting like the agent of the corporate. The balloons filled with Modi applause are burst. Those who came to power promising to bring home all the black money from foreign banks have become subservient to the likes of Ambani and Adani. Even the party president Amitsha himself has admitted that those promises were nothing more that election tactics. After BJP came to power farmers are on the brink of suicide. If things progress in this manner people are going to hang BJP to death. Delhi election result is the clear proof, the BJP might get the votes of corporates but not of people.
Those who demand Bagavat Gita be made national text are creating communal riots through Ghar Wapasies throughout the country. RSS and BJP has created atleast thousand communal riots last year. Mohan Bhagwat wants India to be made a Hindu Rashtra. Yes real Hindus has woken up; that is what we saw in Delhi. Popular Front is the hope and aspiration of 18 crore. Only this neo social movement can be an effective alternative to fascism while preserving the secular democratic aspiration of 1.2 billion Indians, said Muhammedali Jinnah.
KH Nazar, Karala state president of Popular Front, presided over the meeting which was also addressed by state vice president K Muhammedali, Moideen Kutty Faisy (National Executive Council Member, SDPI) Karamana Ashraf Moulavi(National Executive Council Member, Popular Front), Muhammed Eesa Falil Manba-e( State president All India Imam’s Council), Thulaseedharan Pallikkal ( State Vice-President, SDPI), PK Ramla ( State President, National Women’s Front) CA Rauf ( State President, Campus Front), Abullatheef Darimi (Palakkad District President, Popular Front) and P P Rafeeq (general convener, the organizing committee). 33 batches each consisting 33 cadets lined up for the Unity March which started from Manjakkulam ground. The unity march was followed by a huge rally in which tens of thousands lined up which lasted for hours. The gathering was concluded with the Play called “This silence is dangerous”.
The public meeting held at Kollam was inaugurated by National vice-Chairman EM Aburahiman. He said that Modi, who helps the ultra-rich that does not even constitute one percentage of the population, should make it clear whom he is really representing. Hindutwa extremists are misusing the doors of power. Hindutwa fascism is the largest threat faced by the country. RSS, the extreme form of Hindutwa with their nine months of power has proved what Popular Front had warned in 2007 that these forces would sabotage people if they came to power. BJP did not come to power because of Modi magic or the tactics of Amitsha, but by the deceptive attitude of Mainstream secular parties and dynastic politics being practiced by so called subaltern parties.
Popular Front which emerged from a village in Kerala 22 year ago has now spread its wings in 22 states. This rapid growth of the organization is the proof for the people’s acceptance of its message that people should unite in their fundamental causes.
