Bangalore: Popular of India condemns the attack by RSS members on the Head Office of Headline Today News Channel. The violent attack and the justification given by RSS to the attack have proved that they pay no respect for democratic values and the constitution of the country. Popular Front also congratulates the Headlines Today channel for displaying ethical journalism by exposing the real face of the Sangh Parivar.
Though it was a known fact that Sangh Parivar was involved in many terrorist cases, it was always ignored by the media and the security agencies. The blast at the house of RSS activist at Nanded, blast in Malegaon, blast at Bajrang Dal activist’s house at Kanpur, the pipe bomb blast on RSS office in Tenkasi and blast at Goa are some examples in which names of members of RSS and its affiliate Hindutva organizations were revealed, but these didn’t receive any serious attention from Police. A pro-active monitoring of Hindutva organizations such as RSS along with its various wings would have prevented such blasts from happening.

The recent arrest of RSS activists Devendra Gupta and Lokesh Sharma in Ajmer blast and the involvement of RSS members Ramchandra Kalsangra alias Ramji and Sandeep Dange alias Parmanand in the Makkah Masjid blast have totally proved that RSS is actively involved in planning terror attacks. The expose by Headline Today which showed clippings of Sangh Parivar members discussing a plot to target Vice-President Hamid Ansari, an RSS functionary mentoring the Ajmer Sharif and Mecca Masjid bomber, a BJP leader planning an underground outfit to kill Muslims and the involvement of RSS National Executive member Indresh Kumar are enough evidence to understand the hidden agenda of Sangh Parivar. With its wide network across India RSS is a very severe internal security threat for the country and must be strictly dealt.

Another major concern is the lack of political will of Central government in initiating a probe on RSS. Even after so many revelations coming to picture there has been no concrete action taken by the Government to curb the saffron threat. Popular Front of India reiterates its demand to the UPA Government at the centre to start an investigation on all the activities of RSS in India and abroad and reinvestigate all the blast cases after 1993.
