Madikeri: “SDPI’s intention is not political extravaganza. It has come to politics to become voice of oppressed and poor people of the society”, said Abdul Majeed Kodlipete who was speaking at a program organized to pay gratitude to voters for their contribution to the victory of SDPI in four seats of Madikeri CMC, at Market Auditorium in the city.
“Like other party our intention is not money. This party has been formed disappointing with the present political system of the country, which ignores common people. This is a party which established to respond the difficulties faced by common people”, he said.
“In our county there is a condition where around 50% of families do not have toilet facility. Children are deprived of education due to financial backwardness”, he said.
He expressed the hope that, in future, his party would come to power in Madikeri CMC with majority seats.
SDPI Karnataka state committee member K.B.Afser said that people have taught a lesson to the parties like Congress, BJP and JDS, which tried to lure voters using money in this election. He thanked voters for backing SDPI.
District president M.A.Fazalullah presided over the program. State general secretary Abdul Hannan, Kerala state secretary Jyothish Perumbulikkal, district vice president Abdul Rahman, president of city committee Abubakkar, Nafeesa and Plora Crasta from women wing, Municipal Council members Ameen Mohsin, Peter, Neema Arshad were present at the program.
Usman Suntikoppa welcomed while Mustafa coordinated and Basheer delivered vote of thanks. Earlier Auto rally was taken out in the streets of the city.
