Eid Get together programmes are conducted all over the state by Popular Front of India to install confidence among the oppressed masses and to create harmony among different communities. The leaders of various political parties and social movements participate in such programmes and share their views.
A similar gathering was arranged by the Coimbatore district unit of Popular Front of India on August 31. District president Sahul Hameed presided over the function. Mujeebur Rahman welcomed the gathering. State president of Popular Front of India A.S.Ismail delivered the keynote address on the topic ‘Let’s move forward’. He pointed out that the divisive forces with vested interests have reached the top of the power and the people of the nation, especially the minorities and other oppressed sections should not loose their confidence over this development. The depressed sections should join hands for the welfare of the nation, he added.
Ramakrishnan, General Secretary of Dravidar Kazhagam, Nagendran, General Secretary of Dalit Sena, Balamurugan of PUCL, Nagendran, District president of Devendra Kula Velalars, Nehrudas, District president of Dravidar Kazhagam, Abdul Wahab, District convenor of Naam Thamizhar, Karkhi, State Convenor of Samathuva Munnani, Abdul Jabbar, General Secretary of Coimbatore jamaath, Muneer of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi, Abdul Hakeem of Jamaat e Islami, Ganesh Kumar of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam participated in the function and shared their views on the topic.
