Kerala: Popular Front’s Freedom Parade in 7 Towns

Kozhikkode: Popular Front of India has decided to organize Freedom Parade of this year in seven towns of Kerala. The parade being held in Kerala on every August 15 right from 2004 with the slogan, ‘be the sentinels of freedom’ is meant to create awareness among people about the importance of protecting our freedom, to instill confidence and to inculcate national feeling among them, said P Abdul Hameed, state general secretary, Popular Front of India.
The Parade will be held at Kottarakkara, Irattupetta, Aluva, Pattambi, Kondoty, Kuttiadi and Payyannur.
Apart from Kerala, the Freedom Parade was being held in Karnataka and Tamilnadu for last two years.
State president Nasaruddeen Elamaram, General secretary P Abdul Hameed, Karamana Ashraf Moulavi, V T Ikramul Haq, K H Nasar and Muhammed Roshan spoke at state council meeting.
