Popular Front demands impartial enquiry into Chennai Central blasts

Two bombs exploded at the S4 and S5 coaches of Guwahati – Bangalore express as the train reached the ninth platform at Chennai Central Station at about 7.45 A.M. on May 1. A woman died on the spot and around 14 people were injured in the blasts. Popular Front of India condemns this incident and extends its condolences to the families of the death and the injured. Popular Front also demands adequate compensation to those families.

Such acts derail the peace and social harmony among the people. We should stand united at this stage and defeat the plots of the evil forces. Popular Front also demands for an impartial enquiry into the incident and the arrest of the real perpetrators of this crime.

A team led by State Secretary J. Mohamed Raseen visited the injured at the Government Rajaji Hospital and offered solace.

A.S. Ismail,

Tamilnadu State President,

Popular Front of India
