Women must participate in politics to preserve their rights: Naznin Begum

 

Gulbarga: A women’s get together program was organized by Social Democratic Party of India, Gulbarga district on 12th February 2012 at Sheikh Roza, Qadri Chowk, Gulbarga.

 

The program was conducted in order to bring political awareness among women especially in Muslim and other backward communities. The chief guests for this program were Prof. Dr.Nazneen Begum, National vice president of SDPI and BBMP corporator and Mrs Fatima Begum, Mysore district SDPI vice president.

The program was started with the welcome speech by district secretary Shams Tabrez. Later Prof. Dr. Nazneen Begum presented keynote address entitled POLITICAL AWARENESS AMONG WOMEN.

She said, “The present political scenario of Indian politics is unable to preserve the rights of women especially those of Muslims and other backward communities. It’s now necessary that women must actively participate in the politics “.

Mrs.Fathima Begum delivered speech on Hamara Bharat. She also spoke about People’s Political Conference and invited participants to attend the conference. She said “Earlier, Democracy was “For The People By The People Of The People. But today it has become “Buy” The People ,”Far” The People , “Off” The  People”,

District general secretary Abdulrahim Mulla spoke about the present disarray seen in the ward, and announced SDPI would take up the issues and solve them, whether in power or not,

Then program was concluded with the vote of thanks of Tabassum of shaikroza, A large number of women turned up to the program.
