NWF organised Medical Awareness Camp at Nellai Eruvadi
Nellai TN : National Women's Front had organized "Women's Medical awareness camp" on cancer and infertility was held at Hudha Matriculation School, Eruvadi Nellai District on January 8,2012.
Dr Anbu Rajan, Peace Cancer Foundation, Tirunelveli presented an awareness lecture and slideshow presentation with relevant images and statistics on the topic "Cancer : Facts versus Myths".
Dr Anbukkarasi, Royal Hospital, Tirunelveli delivered awareness lecture briefly on gynecologic oncology and clarified general doubts and misconception of the audience and examined the patients personally.
According to a report, Atleast 5 lacks of people were dieing due to cancer in India. Among the total number of ovarian cancer throughout the world it is estimated that atleast 26 percentage of patients is in India. In 1990's 10% of breast cancer patients in Tamilnadu rapidly increased upto 24 percentage. Breast cancer incidences diagnosed and death reported due to breast cancer is alarmingly rising in India.
At this Juncture, to create an awareness and to prevent the people from the danger National women's front's one such initiative is this Women's Medical awareness Camp, which was conducted at free of cost.
Mumtaj Aalima, Nellai District President of National Women's front presided this camp.Special arrangement has been made to handle the participant's playing children inorder to listen the lecture peacefully. Around 300 women participant benefited out of this camp.
