Get together by NCHRO in Kota, Rajasthan
Kota 30 Dec. National Confederation of Human rights organizations (NCHRO) organized a Get -together in Kota Rajasthan. In this get -together eminent Human Rights activists expressed their deep concerns on anti people laws like UAPA and AFSPA.
Dr. Manisha Sethi, Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi, demanded the repeal of these anti people laws. These kinds of laws are bringing lot of distress to the common people and are misused by the law enforcing forces, Dr. Sethi said. Ahmed Shoeb, General Secretary, Jamia Teachers Solidarity, also demanded the repeal of these anti people laws.Such kind of anti people laws should not exist in a democratic country, he said.
NCHRO activist Ansarul Haque told that these acts like UAPA are used to harass the minorities, especially the Muslims. Eminent human rights activists like Dr Akhlaq, Adv Akhtar Akela, Muslim Khan, Nusrat Jahan, Mateen Ahmed, Amar Singh Rana were present in the programme.
