Muzaffarnagar: A meeting by a group of advocates, held at Muzaffarnagar under the supervision of Popular Front of India, has decided to provide necessary legal assistance to the victims of Muzaffarnagar riots to fight their cases for free.

New Delhi: The Popular Front of India condemned in no uncertain terms the brutal assault on advocate Mohammad Saleem by the other lawyers in the Faizabad court compound on Tuesday and said that it is an insult to the Indian judiciary system and a black dot on the secular values of our country.

Hyderabad: Popular Front of India strongly condemn the arrest of Professor Jaya Vindhyalaya, A.P State President of Peoples Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) upon the allegations of posting defamatory information about the 'Chirala' M.L.A on face book. Popular Front's A.P State President Mr. D.S.Habibulla told in a statement that the arrest of Professor Jaya Vindhyalaya is the suppression of her right to Freedom of Expression of thoughts. He reminded the statement of Prof. Jaya that she had posted the information furnished by a fact finding team of PUCL.
Release All Activists of the PFI Charged Under UAPA and Sedition Immediately and Unconditionally!
On the 23 April 2013, around 11 in the morning, twenty one activists aged 20-25 of the Popular Front of India (PFI) were arrested from a building that was under construction at Naraath, Kannur district, Kerala. The arrest as reported in the press was done under the leadership of DySP P.Sukumaran of the Kerala police.
A senior United Nations official today voiced concern about the death in Israeli detention of Arafat Jaradat and called for an independent and transparent investigation into the circumstances of the Palestinian’s death.
Mr. Jaradat, who was arrested on 18 February, died on Saturday, according to a statement released by the office of the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Robert Serry.
New Delhi : National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations (NCHRO) demands the government of India to abolish the death punishment, as it against human rights. Article 5 of the Universal Declaration states: "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment".
NCHRO also feels that Afzal Guru was not given fair option to defend himself.
