Gulbarga: Popular Front of India, Gulbarga unit launches a campaign from Dec 20 – Feb 15 on Right to Education (RTE) to create awareness among the general mass. RTE Information centres were also constituted at 4 places in and around Gulbarga with dedicated helpline numbers published through handbills and poster campaigns.
Mangalore: Popular Front of India, D.K district has urged for the intervention of state government as the Manglaore police has totally failed to control law and order situation in the city after clashes in Ulaibettu. The organization also alleged that police were bias against Minorities while they deal with Ulaibettu issue.
Speaking at the press conference held at Mangalore, Ataullah Jokatte, president of Popular Front of India, D.K district said that police had failed to control clashes and give protection for Minorities.
Mangalore: Popular Front of India, Imams Council, Social Democratic Party of India and other some Muslim organizations have boycotted the Peace Meet held by district administration at Police Commissioner’s office, Mangalore, sighting that there is no one in the meeting to hear the grievance of Muslims as the people representatives were not invited to it and police were completely bias against Muslim community during the riots.
On 6th December 1992, the Congress Government led by then Prime Minister Mr. PV Narasimha Rao formed a one man commission under Retired High Court Judge, Justice M.S.Liberhan has to get into the act of Babri Masjid Demolition and to find out People involved in the heinous crime. The report which was to be submitted by Liberhan in 3 months was given 48 extensions and after a gap of 17 years, the report was submitted to then Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh led Government on 30th June 2009.
The Babri Masjid was demolished by the Hindutuva goons on December 6, 1992 in broad daylight. Along with that, the secular values of our nation were also demolished. The various court directions given in this issue were ignored by the Hindutuva fundamentalists. The then State and Central Governments remained just mute spectators while the demolition was going on.
Trichy: A number of social welfare schemes are being inaugurated by Popular Front of India. As part of the people welfare measures, a drinking water project was inaugurated at Pallakalpatti village, Trichy district on November 29.
The inaugural function was presided by A. Mohamed Siddiq, District Secretary of PFI. S. Illyas, State Secretary of Popular Front of India inaugurated the drinking water project.
